Idyll Reserve Wedding in Hocking Hills

Hocking Hills is one of the top nature destinations in Ohio. It’s also one of my favorite places to photograph weddings, particular smaller, intimate weddings. When A&M reached out to me about their wedding, it was a dream come true. They were planning to host the wedding at the luxurious Idyll Reserve, a new build of modern cabins right in the heart of Hocking Hills. Their plan was to rent out all of the cabins on the property for the weekend, invite 30 of their closest friends and family, bring their dogs, and celebrate this next chapter.

Some info and tips on getting married at this location: Idyll Reserve has 5 cabins on it’s property. Two cabins are able to host a larger number of guests. The Main House has a large outdoor patio, which is where A&M set up their reception. While there are only 5 cabins on the property, there is an large amount of other cabins and lodges in the area for any other guests. Cabins are dog friendly, so you should definitely bring your pups. We didn’t adventure off the property for couple portraits since there are so many beautiful spots on the property for portraits, including a small cave. However, Ash Cave is very close to Idyll Reserve and is a quick and easy hike to the large and beautiful cavern. For catering options, A&M opted for a private chef, who used the kitchen in the Main House cabin. It made preparing and serving dishes very efficient and seamless.

I always adore photographing weddings in Hocking Hills. Be sure to check out some of my other work and Super 8 Film services. Send me a message to get in touch!
